About Us

Registered Swim Australia

Glennie Aquatics offers a range of aquatic education and recreational services for the entire community, both males and females. Including Learn to Swim lessons, squads, recreational lap swimming, holiday intensive programs, pool hire and more. We are located on Vacy St, behind The Glennie School Senior Campus. We have ample off street parking.

Catering for babies from six months old through to adults – we have a level to suit every swimmer, beginner, intermediate or advanced. Our smaller classes offer favourable student to teacher ratios so your children get more swimming time. In our early Learn to Swim Lessons (e.g Seahorse – Turtles) there will be a 1 Instructor per 4 students and in the later levels (e.g Stingrays to Squad) the ratio will be higher.

Our facilities

  • A fully enclosed and heated ten lane 25 metre pool
  • A purpose built Learn to Swim pool, heated to 32-34 degrees
  • A gymnasium set up for dry land training for our squad swimmers
  • Shower and toilet facilities
  • Disability and pram ramps and access
  • Plenty of grandstand seating and viewing areas
  • Swim Shop
  • Canteen

What to Wear

All Learn to Swim students are required to wear a swimming cap and appropriate swimwear (racer styles for girls, briefs or bike shorts for boys. Loose and baggy shirts or shorts restrict arm and leg movements and we would prefer they were left at home). Rash shirts are discouraged after our Frog Level as again they restrict arm movement. Goggles are optional. Children are required to perform some of our safety activities without goggles.
