Below are our swimming levels. To best identify your child with a certain level, read the skills they must acquire for the level.

Seahorse

  • LESSON DURATION: 30 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: WEEKDAY MORNINGS, AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAYS
  • COST PER LESSON $18.50

Skills:

  1. Enter and exit water safely and confidently
  2. Kick on front and back with kick board unassisted
  3. Blow bubbles in water with face fully submerged, back float and recover to a upright position confidently unassisted
  4. Fall into the water and return to side unassisted, move along edge of pool to exit point and climb out
  5. Swim a distance of 3 metres using underwater arm action and kicking (dog paddle)
  6. Submerge and retrieve an object held by instructor


Tadpole

  • LESSON DURATION: 30 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: WEEKDAY MORNINGS, AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAYS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Skills:

  1. Front glide and kick for 3 metres unassisted
  2. Back kick using kickboard for 3 metres unassisted
  3. Swim 3 metres using big arms and fast kick (freestyle)
  4. Submerge and collect a toy from bottom of pool
  5. Star float on back and recover to an upright position
  6. Star float on front and recover to an upright position
  7. Fall into water, swim around instructor and return to side unassisted with and without goggles


Frog

  • LESSON DURATION: 30 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: SOME MORNINGS & AFTER SCHOOL
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Skills:

  1. Perform a slide entry and exit water using the edge
  2. Rocket arms (streamline) with strong fast kick for 5 metres
  3. Six freestyle arms with strong fast kick (no side breathing at this level)
  4. Collect toy from bottom of pool unassisted
  5. Swim 5 metres backstroke with ears in water
  6. Jump into deep water, swim around instructor and return to side without goggles
  7. Move from back float to front float to back float again

Turtle

  • LESSON DURATION: 30 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Skills:

  1. Swim 10 metres freestyle with coordinated side breathing
  2. Swim 10 metres backstroke with correct body position
  3. Demonstrate a squat dive
  4. Demonstrate treading water arm sculling action, supporting body in an upright position
  5. Demonstrate treading water leg action using floatation aid for support if required
  6. Submerge and recover an object from bottom of pool unassisted and return to side
  7. Demonstrate a streamline glide and kick for 7 metres.


Stingray

  • LESSON DURATION: 30 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Skills:

  1. Demonstrate a tight streamline kick and glide 8-metres
  2. Swim 10-15 metres freestlye with co-ordinated side breathing and a strong fast kick
  3. Swim 10-15 backstroke with continuous arm action and strong fast kick
  4. Perform a kneeling dive from the side of the pool
  5. Step in entry tread water for 15 seconds return to side and climb out
  6. Demonstrate good lane discipline: listen to teacher, start and finish at the wall, move for other swimmer

Shark

  • LESSON DURATION: 45 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Skills:

  1. Swim 15 metres freestyle with co-ordinated side breathing and strong fast kick
  2. Swim 15 metres backstroke with continuous arm action, strong, fast kick
  3. Tread water in a vertical position keeping head above water for 30 seconds
  4. Demonstrate a dive from side of pool
  5. Demonstrate basic breaststroke and butterfly kick
  6. Demonstrate a tight streamline glide and kick for 10 metres
  7. Demonstrate good lane discipline: including starting and finishing at wall, moving for other swimmers and listening to instructor

Dolphin

  • LESSON DURATION: 45 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Skills:

  1. Swim 20 metres freestyle using correct technique (high elbow introduced)
  2. Swim 20 metres backstroke using correct technique
  3. Dive from block, recover to surface and swim 20 metres
  4. Demonstrate 12.5 metres symmetrical breaststroke kick
  5. Demonstrate 12.5 metres rhythmic butterfly kick
  6. Demonstrate good lane discipline: including starting and finishing at wall, moving for other swimmers and listening to the instructor
  7. Tread water for 30 seconds, float on back for 1 minute, swim 15 metres and climb out
  8. Introduce breaststroke and butterfly arms

Barracuda

  • LESSON DURATION: 45 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

The duration of the class is 45 minutes with the focus being on stroke development.

Marlin

  • LESSON DURATION: 45 MINUTES
  • DAYS AVAILABLE: AFTER SCHOOL & SATURDAY MORNINGS
  • COST PER LESSON: $18.50

Focuses on all 4 strokes and building swim fitness.
